Medical Totalitarianism
Naomi Wolf reminds us those who do not remember history are condemned to repeat it
As a physician with forty years of practice experience, I have been stunned by the active lap-dog like acquiescence of our medical establishment to the official “required” consensus of the pharmaco-political machine’s messaging during the Covid crisis. I, as a knowledgeable person well-versed in evaluating scientific opinions related to medicine, was taken in early as were most laypeople. I dutifully got my two initial vaccinations in February 2021. Given that I was over 65 and on chronic immunosuppressive medications this may have been, retrospectively, a good decision during the initial run-out of the “pandemic”. I was not prepared for the disabling heart rhythm disturbance that began 14 hours after my second injection, requiring a visit to our local emergency room for conversion to normal, and a new lifelong commitment to daily anticoagulation drugs. After duly reporting the event to the governments’ inept VAER system, with whose weakness I was well familiar from decades in practice, I complied with all the restrictions regarding masking and distancing primarily from a desire to avoid confrontation and controversy. I refused refused further boosters. As an actively practicing physician I knew that masking for viruses, even with the N95, is not effective; the associated behavior changes of keeping hands cleaner of respiratory secretions and not sneezing or coughing at people might be important. I learned quickly that the rule of 6 feet of separation was entirely “made-up” by a well-meaning physician early in the 2oth century who was struggling with non-pharmaceutical treatment of tuberculosis. He never tested his rule for efficacy. And no one in the Covid era has tested it either in relation to any respiratory virus. Eventually I became infected, and knowing the dangers and questionable efficacy of the antivirals with Emergency Use Approval, was treated successfully with the only off-label possible alternative drug with an acceptable risk/benefit ratio, fluvoxamine. After all, the two drugs with a world-wide history of safety and efficacy against other infections, hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, were denied use on pain of exile by the medical disciplinarians. That’s when I began to actively question and evaluate all the “scientific” pronouncements regarding Covid, as any physician or scientist always should regarding any new hypotheses.
Hypotheses are informed guesses as to how something works in nature, and science is the process of testing those educated guesses to see if they represent part of the unknown truth. All of the pronouncements of the CDC, FDA, and WHO were hypotheses, and none were tested adequately. Testing of alternative protections and treatments was actively prevented by those same bodies, in the name of a new false god, “The Science”. The medical establishment quickly joined the uncertifiable consilience, as the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and virtually all others and university bodies toed our government’s line in the sand.
As yet, despite all evidence to the contrary of their positions, all these players continue to run their rigged game. Repeats of the same deal have been tried with the abortive “Monkeypox” pandemic, and now a desperate attempt to reinvigorate the authority and credibility of these bodies, governmental and academic, with a Dengue fever pandemic to be attacked by the same failed methods including new vaccines with newly recognized dangers. Underneath all these modern misrepresentations of scientific truth and incomplete knowledge are malevolent socio-political processes that history has illustrated in the recent past.
Those malevolencies are partly the subject of an excellent recent Substack column by
. At the end of her long well referenced column primarily about the misrepresentation of RFK,Jr.’s candidacy she reminds us in detail of certain evils of power that return on a regular basis. As she notes clearly, we have seen all this before:“Anyone who has read the history of the rise of the National Socialists to power, knows that the weaponization of German society began with the coopting by the Nazis of physicians, and of doctors’ professional organizations. The full account of this brilliant and damaging innovation, which long preceded the 1933 formal ascendancy to power of the Nazis, let alone the 1939-1945 genocide programs, is in the important books, The Nazi Doctors: Medical Killing and the Psychology of Genocide by Robert Jay Lifton, and Racial Hygiene: Medicine Under the Nazis, by Robert N Proctor.
From where did the fully-formed murderous protocols and techniques of 2020-2023 come? They were not invented from whole cloth in the US or in the other nations in which they were launched. They were invented by the National Socialists in the 1930s.
In the early 1930s, as today, the Nazi state enlisted doctors, nurses and midwives to do the bidding of the State. In the early 1930s, as today, doctors were advanced if they joined the Nazi Party, and professional medical organizations were coopted by the Party; doctors lost licenses to practice or lost professional opportunities, if they refused to align.
As today, the National Socialists quickly divided society into two tiers, in which Aryans had rights, access to jobs, and access to state benefits and to universities, while non-Aryans were identified in multiple ways as second class citizens. The second class citizens lost the right to enter public buildings, to shop in commercial establishments, to keep their jobs, to study or teach in universities, and so on.
Does that sound familiar?
By 1939, the Nazi regime compelled nurses, doctors and midwives to identify mentally impaired infants and children. This was a program called “Aktion T4”. The parents of these children were being urged by “public health authorities” to bring these children to “pediatric clinics”. After that they were euthanized “by lethal overdoses of medication or starvation.” Of course the program expanded to include other ages.
Does this sound familiar?”
