Voters who want their ballots to wander the wasteland can actually mail their Vote by Mail ballots via USPS or private carrier. The prepaid barcoded envelope signed and sealed by you containing your ballot hopefully makes it past mailbox thieves locally and at your post office. At that post office(s) it passes through many hands and machines before delivery to the Registrar of Voters processing center. After being machined and moved several times as noted in prior Pathways articles, your votes will finally be tabulated. Given the largest number of processes and hands, this is the most convenient and least secure way of voting.
