The role of government is to intervene in public behavior that invades the rights of an individual. Racism and sexism and ethnism are partially taught by word and deed and partially due to innate human fear of those who appear different from yourself. It automatically has existed and continues to exist in all parts of the world. We are the only country founded on principles, not ethnicity, which principles lead us to aspire to a race/sex/ethnic "neutral" public society. Thus, each individual, in concert with our unalienable rights, possesses the duties to ensure those rights in actions towards all other individuals, and learn to ignore one’s own prejudices in thought, word, and deed.
